Leading supplier of security and entrance system solutions dormakaba, has extended its revolving door portfolio with the KTV ATRIUM FLEX. Setting the new standard for entranceways, this innovative solution features groundbreaking design features in an extremely elegant form.

Blending superior technology and design, the new KTV ATRIUM FLEX features dormakaba’s innovative KT FLEX Direct Drive System, the first of its kind purposely designed for revolving doors. Tested for 2 million cycles, the drive is housed in the door’s ceiling and uses contactless magnetic fields instead of conventional belts and gears to propel the door panels. As such, the product is extremely durable and the need for a floor pit is eliminated.

As a full glass structure, dormakaba’s elegant solution features heat-soaked tempered glazing coupled with minimal framing ensures optimum transparency and visual appeal. The door is certified for passage height specification up to an impressive 4,000mm and up to 3,000mm in diameter.

Thanks to its sophisticated drive system, the door can be mounted on finished floors, or easily retrofitted to existing sites, and features an integrated flicker-free LED light ring around the motor.

Commenting on the launch, Paul Green Product Specialist at dormakaba said: “We are delighted to introduce the new KTV ATRIUM FLEX to our revolving door collection, as a premium solution that takes undisrupted entranceway elegance to a new level. With accurately engineered components and our revolutionary drive system, the new KTV ATRIUM FLEX removes the need for underground mounting to simplify planning and design.”

Paul continued: “The product is testament to our ongoing commitment to offer architects, specifiers and building owners with a suite of solutions that meet every design brief, as well as providing robust, reliable and safe systems that allow a smooth flow of traffic.”

The KTV ATRIUM FLEX joins a growing portfolio of revolving doors offered by dormakaba, which includes options with three or four wing door leaf turnstiles, high security models, all-glass finishes and manual, assisted or automatic operation systems.
