PILZ IRELAND
Brief: To design a new Software Product Research & Development building for Pilz, a leading global automation technology company. The brief also included the refurbishment of the company’s existing building in Cork.
The new space should encourage creativity and should be flexible and adaptable to the company’s needs and activities. The new two and three storey 2,500 sq m Software Product Research & Development building (Phase 1) is located immediate to the existing Pilz Ireland building in the Cork Business and Technology Park on Model Farm Road, Cork. It increases the capacity of the overall Pilz Ireland campus to 4,100 sq m. The existing building (Phase 2) was fully refurbished to the same standards and finishes of the new building. External works addressed connecting both existing and new buildings and also addressed ancillary requirements such as staff and general car parking, motorcycle and bicycle areas, deliveries and also social areas.
