The Irish Architecture Foundation has to launched the annual ‘Architects in Schools’ exhibition. The Architects in Schools initiative is funded by the Arts Council of Ireland, the Department of Education and Skills and the Department of Culture, Heritage and the Gaeltacht.
This year the exhibition moves online as part of Project 20×20 – A Year Like No Other. A celebration of the creativity of Transition Year students from all over Ireland, 30 schools participated during the 2019/20 academic year, with 12 of these profiled in the exhibition. Ideas and themes explored include architecture and film, inclusive design, structure, heritage and a re-imagining of school environments. The exhibition is in two parts – a video overview and a series of 12 Instagram posts, showcasing the students’ work in more detail. Applications are now open for the schools to take part in Architects in Schools for the 2020/2021 academic year. For further information, email
